Need a super simple BBQ recipe for the Summer? Want to whip up a glaze created with basic pantry staples?  A mere toss on the grill and then glaze away! Donezo in minutes kind of recipe? Well here you go, no mindless thinking or wasting of time on this recipe… just glaze and grill honey.

Candice’s Simple Apricot Glazed BBQ Chicken

Prep time 10 minutes

Cook time 10-15 minutes

Ingredients – 1-1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken thighs  ** Purchase frozen chicken thighs or on sale and then freeze to save time and dinero!

For the Glaze
1/2 cup Apricot Preserves, try for reduced sugar versions to save on calories

1 tablespoon soy sauce ** A great additive to any marinade, sauce or glaze, perfect pantry staple
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard, or Dijon will work as well.


1. Preheat a clean grill to medium heat and lightly coat with olive oil,

2. Add salt to the chicken thighs and place gently on the grill for a few minutes then flip.

3. In a medium bowl whisk together the 2 minute glaze! Apricot preserves, soy sauce, brown sugar and spicy brown mustard, whisk well till all incorporated.  ** Apricot preserves are a great pantry staple for sweet or savory meals!

4. Baste the flipped chicken thighs with the glaze and paint brushes. After 5 minutes on one side, flip to coat the other side with the remaining glaze and cook chicken thru until firm to the touch and well cooked, about 10- 15 minutes total.
